MANIAC!
The so-called gentleman punks are back with two of their best songs yet – Midnight Kino & Precision Accuracy. Regular black and Peep Show red vinyl versions available. Promo copies of this 7″ that leaked out have already made 2016 best of the year lists! Hear why Maniac are consistently being referred to as LA’s best band in years!
MODERN ACTION LIVE!
Modern Action will be playing live for the first time in nearly 3 years for Red Devil Records 19th anniversary show. Saturday Jan.21st at the Golden Bull in Oakland. Also playing will be Barry Red Devil’s band from the early 80s Public Enema, along with MAR label mates Ruleta Rusa and East Bay up and comers Self-Inflicted Wounds.

MENAGE A TROIS!!!
Right when you thought we finally called it quits for good, we have again come crawling out of MAR HQ where we have been holed up frantically working to bring you a triple play of new LPs! A ménage a trois as they call it over there in the europes. The long awaited critically acclaimed D-Sides compilation has finally found its way onto vinyl. BOATS! have hit their peak as their new LP blows all their previous releases off the mantle. And last but not least we continue to bring the best Europe has to offer by bringing you a new 12″ by the bloody Belgians: PERIPHERIQUE EST.
AMOEBAS!!!
We caved in to demand and pressed up 200 copies of the Amoebas LP on White Vinyl w/hand stamped labels and new black and white silk screened covers hand screened by the band themselves. We are also down to our last few copies of the Amoebas – Telephone 7″. After these LPs and 7″s are gone, thats it!

The east coast and Texas tour is officially in the books. All the shows were killer and thankfully the band brought back the final 12 copies of the tour edition box set. These are the last copies that will ever be pressed, so those that missed out this is your last chance. And even more exciting is the upcoming 22 song Briefs LP/CD coming next update. THE RESURRECTION!!!
August 24th, 2014, 3:24am…While all the stooges were comfortably tucked away, well into a half-year hibernation, a 6.0 earthquake rocked the Sonoma Valley and the MAR headquarters to its foundation. Buildings crumbled, records tumbled and the stooges grumbled as they were shaken and bounced from a deep, deep, deep sleep. All hands were on deck and the clean up quickly ensued. Maybe it was a sign from below or just a coincidence, but the message was heard loud and clear…

Our good buddy and Briefs bassist Lance Romance is in a battle for his life and needs your help! Click on his ugly mug below to contribute – every penny counts…As for the rest of the gang, they are gearing up for some east coast and texas shows. We pressed up a red vinyl tour edition of the box set for the band, limited to 300 copies and we got a few available here.

MODERN ACTION LIVE!!!
For the first time in nearly 4 years MODERN ACTION will be playing live! We have two shows set up in the bay area for the weekend of Feb.21/22. First up is San Jose at the Blank Club with THE STITCHES and THE RICHMOND SLUTS. Second up is San Francisco at Thee Parkside with THE STITCHES, RICHMOND SLUTS and LAZERWOLF. Forget the music, come out just to have a drink with Action Man Pete!
NEW RELEASES COMING SOON!
We have 4 new releases and 1 re-release just about ready. Hernando is almost finished with the assembly and we should get them up for sale within the next few weeks. New LPs from BOATS! and Belgium legends PERIPHERIQUE EST, a super killer new 7″ from the AMOEBAS along with a small repress of their debut LP. Also, after 4 years of talking about it and trying to get it done, we are planning (key word: planning) on having a record store day release this year, which would be an LP version of possibly the best MAR release yet: D-Sides! Compilation. Remember that free download comp we gave out a few years back with unreleased songs from most of the MAR bands (yeah remember – the best free music download ever given away, by any label – ever)? Gonna now be available on a limited edition LP…
RiPT OFF series!…
RiPT OFF #1, The Stitches D- 7″ flew off the shelves in one day and we got such a positive reaction about this idea. Who knew that we actually had real fans out there that actually wanted to hear the early primitive versions of their favorite songs, along with the bad rejected songs that were tossed out before they ever made a set list. Anyways, we’re glad you like the format cause we will definitely be continuing on with this series. Plans are in process for upcoming RiPT OFF 7″ releases from THE BODIES, THE STITCHES (PART 2), THE BRIEFS, MODERN ACTION, SHARP OBJECTS and more…

Happy Halloween
Happy Halloween! We’ve been busy the last few months in the MAR factory and are loaded up to the roof with new releases to end out 2013! This time we debut our RIPT-OFF 7″ series along with 2 more killer new 7″s…
RiPT-OFF #1!!!
First up, we debut of our new RIPT OFF series. RIPT-OFF is our new series which stands for Raw Inadequate Practice Tapes – Only For Fans. This is a new series that will feature limited edition 7″eps from some of your favorite bands early practice tapes/demos. Each 7″ will be limited to only 277 copies. As the title states this series is only for fans as the sound quality will vary from bad to worse, but in return you get the raw original versions of some of your favorite songs along with some long lost unreleased gems. First up in this series is a 6 song 7″ep from THE STITCHES! 6 raw demos recorded on Mikes Birthday 20 years ago in 1993. Got a few copies of the sold out reissue of one our favorite releases – The Bureaucrats – Grown up age 7″. Originally released in 1980 and super rare, this reissue from Canada is already sold out and we got the last 10 copies. ABSOLUTELY KILLER upbeat catchy punk in the Buzzcocks vein! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, WE CANNOT RECOMMEND IT MORE STRONGLY 10/10….get it and everything else here at the MAR store
